About

Alec Charlota was born and raised in Michigan. After eight years in the linguistics field, he moved to California to pursue his dream of working in the cinema industry. He graudated California State University, Fullerton in 2019 with a BA in cinema and television production.

Multimedia production has taken Alec across the country and the world. He produced internal training and educational media projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Huntsville, Alabama, shot and edited music videos in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has frequented Germany, Spain, Colombia, and Thailand to name a few. Wherever there is a creative project to be filmed, Alec will go to bring an organized, assureed workflow and learn about the local culture. The beautiful thing about multimedia production is how it required collaboration, and Alec strives to make everybody else’s jobs easier through efficient communication and timely delivery.

Alec’s greatest strengths lie in his ability to adapt to varying set conditions across a variety of disciplines in pre, intra, and post-production. Most recently, Alec wrote, directed, shot, and produced a micro-budget short horror film called Dissolve. The project demonstrates his ability to fulfill the duties of multiple roles on a set where consistency, flexibility, and improvisational creativity are necessary to complete the project at a higher quality level than its budget would normally allow.
